Rocketry Innovation Challenge 2022
Problem Statement
Design, build and launch model rockets reaching the edge of space and while doing so, build a safe and compliant eco-system for model rocketry that the hobbyists and students can follow. The challenge should focus on the fundamentals of rocket science. There can’t be any guidance system on the rockets. Only telemetry devices will be allowed.
Outcome/results expected
- To encourage all STEM students and hobbyists to get involved in space science. The project will create tremendous enthusiasm and interest in science.

- Detailed description of how the project will be implemented
- Detailed technical design to make the project sustainable
- Detailed plan on how to engage the students
- In-depth knowledge about the scientific theories that the project will address
- Detailed description on how it will help build the eco-system
- A proposal from an accredited university or an affiliation with a university will have extra credit
Beneficiary:
The contest is open to any legal entity (including natural persons) or group of legal entities established in Bangladesh or any accredited educational institutions

What is an Innovation Challenge?
Innovation Challenge is about solving a well-regarded problem. a2i circulates the problem and innovators are asked to submit their idea or solution to solve that.
How many days are required to get the final results?
It may take about three months from the launch date.
What are the evaluation stages?
Generally, 4 steps of the process, shortlisting, Bootcamp, technical evaluation, and approval from the Executive Committee.
What are the selection criteria?
innovative concept, feasibility, strategy, implementation plan, management team, etc.
What additional support will be given to the innovators?
Marketing, promotion, partnership, intellectual property support, fundraising, mentoring, training, etc. will be given from seed to growth and scale-up stages.
What is the winning prize?
Up to 1 crore BDT, considering the due diligence and technical evaluation.
Should I submit a technology-based solution?
a2i Innovation Fund invites innovators to solve problems with technology-based solutions.
Why should I participate in the Innovation Challenge?
Innovators have the opportunity to participate in national problem-solving as well as financial, technical, mentoring and other necessary support from a2i and industry leaders.
Who is eligible to submit an idea/solution?
Any individual/team/company/consortium/organization is eligible.

It would usually mean that you have not been selected primarily.
